I attended a recent Conerstone Perfermormace Low Power Variable Optics rifle course led by instructor, Eric Wise. I've known Eric for several years as I recently retired from the same large police department that he currently works. Eric is very knowledgable and professional. He is one of the few people who is not only an excellent instructor, he is also able to expertly employ the lessons that he teaches.

My shooting background is in long distance shooting techniques as a SWAT sniper and with close quarters shooting techniques in tactical entry training and live operations. I have never received much mid range shooting technique training.

Although I've owned a rifle equipped with an LPVO for several years, I've only really used it on one power or six power (1-6x LPVO). Cornerstone Performance's LPVO class taught me to exploit the full potential of the LPVO and made me realize that there is a need to use the full spectrum of power range in such optics.

Eric and staff focused the class on mastering important basic techniques that can be utilized by shooters of all levels. The end of day exercise perfectly blended all lessons learned throughout the day. I highly recommend this course. I am a better shooter because of it.

I just took the MRDS course with Eric. The class size was not too large. I had zero experience with pistol mounted optics and by the end of the day I felt very comfortable shooting with it. Eric is an excellent instructor and kept the entire day interesting.  I learned so much in this class I wish I could give it 10 stars.
If you are new to pistol mounted optics, or even if you have some experience with them, Eric will teach you something useful about them.

We took Eric’s Pistol Mounted Optics class this past Saturday. It was great! My husband and I both learned a lot about the optics and how to shoot with them, but also learned new ideas/tactics about shooting in general (including my husband who is in LE). Eric has thought through every single aspect of the class and is very attentive, but not at all intimidating. At 8 hours, the class is long, but it is genuinely enjoyable. I’ve taken several classes this year with Cornerstone Performance, and Eric was on top of it! I definitely learned a lot of information that I can apply to my EDC, and he was also very professional Instructor.
Strongly recommend  everyone looking to taking some of or all the classes they offer year round . Just do it, and you won’t regret it!!

I took the Cornerstone LVPO one day course and was amazed at how much we were able to go over in one day. There were techniques and specifics I would have not known had I not taken the course. This LPVO course was excellent for every skill level. Students in this course had various experiences, from law enforcement officers to professional mom. Some had extensive experience, while others had limited. Everyone started with varying skill levels, but all made 300-yard shots consistently.

The skills learned in an 8-hour block reflect the instruction block that Eric designed and built upon in his class. As we started with the basics, he created each instruction block onto the next. By the end, we combined all of our skills taught in the class to our last training evaluation. The final run was a "blast!"

The class atmosphere was a fun and engaging learning environment. Eric encouraged students along the course, building up our confidence. The class was a manageable learning environment, not intimidating. Eric kept the course safe, on time, and a great learning environment. We are in the process of booking more training with Eric. Don't hesitate if you are looking to book by yourself, with a shooting partner, a group of friends, a company team building day, or private group lessons; do it now.
